Aurora - Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer doesn't reveal much about the film at all. We don't know who the
characters are  or who the actors are. The only thing we know is that the people
we see are in trouble from the machines they created.

Teaser Trailer - Last Vegas

The teaser trailer put great emphasis on the four 'academy award winners', who
are the four main characters of the film. The trailer  offers the audience to see them
as we have never seen before.
Some people could say that this seems like "The Hanover" with older guys,
but there doesn't seem to be a 'hangover', only one huge party for four days with
some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

Teaser Trailer - Anchorman 2 - The Legend Continues

The teaser trailer won't make any sense to someone who hasn't watched the previous movie. For who have seen the first movie, they can assume that the story of each character will stay similar.
The teaser trailer doesn't reveal anything about the story at all.
Additionally, the teaser trailer only shows the main four characters of the movie. The style of the characters continue from the first movie, they are the same. Doesn't contain much text except for the movie name and the release date (2013).

Teaser Trailer

A teaser campaign is an advertising campaign which typically consists of a series of small, cryptic, challenging advertisements that anticipate a larger, full-blown campaign for a product launch or otherwise important event. These advertisements are called "teasers" or "teaser ads". A teaser trailer for an upcoming film, television program, video game or similar, is usually released long in advance of the product, so as to "tease" the audience.
An early example of the teaser trailer was the one for the 1978 Superman film by Richard Donner. The film was already nearly a year late; it was designed to re-invigorate interest in the release.

Theatrical trailer

A theatrical trailer is one that is longer and gives away more plot detail then the teaser so audineces know what it is about and what genre it is defined under so they can decide whether they want to see it and so they know they will be familiar with the genre.

What is a trailer?

A trailer or preview is an advertisement or a commercial for a feature film that will be exhibited in the future at a cinema.
The term "trailer" comes from their having originally been shown at the end of a feature film screening. That practice did not last long, because patrons tended to leave the theater after the films ended, but the name has stuck. Trailers are now shown before the film (or the A movie in a double feature) begins.
